MARGE HOLTORF COSGROVE -- Also a regular news contributor, just returned with mate Charles from a trip to Springfield, IL to see the new Lincoln Museum just opened in June. Marge says: "It's so interesting; you can spend a whole day there (they have a cafe). It's not row upon row of cases, but more re-creations of things in his life, plus a number of movie presentations, so one can sit and rest between the walking. Then we had to re-visit his tomb, and New Salem, a little much in the heat, but we hopped on a horse drawn cart. We've been there before (Charles is a history buff) but it is always fun." WE HAVE SOME... SPRING 2005 NEWSLETTER TOTAL:   $920.42 and that remains the total to date according to the Treasurer, JIM LOVE. Remember this is a combination of the remainder of the REUNION funds and the Newsletter donations. That said...there is a feeling that we should go ahead and have a PARTY in Laughlin for OUR CLASS only, on Monday, February 27, 2006...(the night before the rest of the school arrives). In 2000, we put together a gathering just for the '44s, and it was great (and the year we found out that the LOVES had been married!) HEAVEN only knows how many more of these we will be able to attend, so maybe we would be wise to LIVE IT UP this time! What do you think??
