MISSING!

People: Our Web Master has been searching every avenue since we started writing this report. . . what? - five years...for Keith Salter.

We have inquired before if any of you have an idea about where he might be...but we are asking again just in case someone may have heard.

Our "techie" knows where to look on line, and still, no luck. So, if you know anything, report to CHUCK.

Computers: In an e-mail conversation with DAVE HOY about perhaps showing a Gallery of photos of old friends on our Web Site, we decided that probably only one third of our Class is computer savvy. [Webmaster's note: we show 45 on-line out of 231 listed in the roster.]

You don't HAVE to be "savvy" to use the Internet, but you DO need a computer. So if any of you are NEW USERS and haven't let us know your E-mail address, do so now, please! Click here!

PROFILE: BILL ZINK

You are all aware that we desperately try to find news and pictures and any thing at all that we haven't covered before...Well, we found BILL in Palm Springs with Daryl's help, and we asked for an interview (doesn't that sound professional?)

The thought was to treat him to lunch, and pick his brain about his Life So Far...but he fooled us, and invited both Daryl and me to lunch at his PS pad! Little did I know he is a gourmet cook and loves doing it.

All made by Bill. . .
MENU: Cold Leek consume w/ bits of fresh chive on top; Shrimp Salad with divine dressing and fresh greens; warm Sliced French baguette with garlic butter and parmesan. A lovely Chardonay wine and dessert: Home made (crust and all ) Key Lime pie! WOW!

The interview was short (I was EAT-ing), but Bill told us that he followed his parents to CA after graduation and some time w/relatives in Chicago. He Attended UCLA, and then returned to Chicago where he worked in Men's Fashions for Carson's, Mandel's and the Fair Store.

In 1952 he accepted a position in Ohio, but came back to LA in 1962 with Robinson's Dept. Store as a Buyer, and traveled the Fashion world for 17 years.

He retired to Palm Springs and loves it there. Bill does well in his attractive gated apt, and is a TRULY charming guy. Another JOY!
